Custom Decals in Edmonton for Vehicles, Windows, Equipment, and Products

Custom decals are precision-cut or printed vinyl graphics applied to surfaces for branding, identification, safety information, or decorative elements. Removable, durable, and applicable to almost any smooth surface. We produce custom decals in Edmonton in any shape, size, and quantity for businesses across every sector.

Material and Adhesive Selection

The Right Substrate for Every Surface and Environment

Not all decals are made from the same material. The substrate, adhesive, and laminate specification are determined by the surface the decal will be applied to, the environment it will live in, and how long it needs to perform. Outdoor applications require UV-stable cast vinyl. High-heat applications such as engine covers and machinery require heat-resistant formulations. Removable applications require repositionable or low-tack adhesives.

We produce decals in quantities from single units through to long production runs. Short run production is practical for custom promotional decals, event giveaways, and specialty applications. Long run production for fleet identification, product labelling, and retail applications takes advantage of per-unit cost efficiencies at volume.

Types of Custom Decals We Produce

Five Decal Types for Every Surface and Application

From a single die-cut logo decal to a long run of fleet identification labels, we produce every decal format in-house at our Edmonton facility.

01

Die-Cut Vinyl Decals

Cut to the exact outline of the graphic. No background material: the decal shape matches the artwork shape. Used for logos, wordmarks, and graphic elements where a clean edge without a visible background is required. Available in any colour of cast or calendered vinyl in gloss, matte, and metallic finishes.

02

Printed Vinyl Decals

Full-colour printed graphics on vinyl substrate, cut to shape or to a standard rectangle or circle. Allows photographic imagery, gradients, and complex multi-colour designs that cut vinyl cannot achieve. Produced with water-based latex inks for UV stability and scratch resistance. Available with or without clear overlaminate.

03

Vehicle Decals

Branding, identification, and regulatory decals for cars, trucks, vans, and equipment. Cast vinyl formulations appropriate for outdoor automotive use: UV-stable, conformable over body contours, and removable without paint damage. Door logos, fleet ID numbers, bumper stickers, and compliance markings.

04

Window Decals

Printed or cut vinyl for glass surfaces on storefronts, vehicles, and commercial buildings. Removable formulations allow changes without adhesive residue. Static cling formulations require no adhesive and are repositionable. Clear vinyl allows see-through decals where glass visibility needs to be maintained.

05

Equipment and Asset Labels

Durable vinyl labels for equipment identification, safety compliance, asset tagging, and product branding. Aggressive-adhesive formulations that resist moisture, chemicals, and abrasion for industrial applications. Product branding labels with the appropriate finish and substrate for the product surface and environment.

Substrate, Adhesive, and Laminate

Cast Vinyl for Outdoors. Right Adhesive for Every Surface.

We specify the substrate, adhesive, and laminate combination matched to the surface, environment, and lifespan requirement of each decal application.

Outdoor decals produced on cast vinyl with UV-stable inks typically last 5 to 7 years in direct outdoor exposure. Economy calendered vinyl in outdoor conditions lasts 1 to 3 years. We use cast vinyl for all outdoor commercial applications. Alberta’s UV intensity makes this specification important for maintaining graphic appearance over time.

Most smooth, clean, dry surfaces accept vinyl decals well: painted metal, glass, powder-coated surfaces, plastic, and smooth-painted walls. Textured surfaces, rough concrete, and porous materials may require specific adhesive formulations or surface preparation. We advise on suitability during consultation.

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF with outlined fonts) are preferred for cut vinyl decals. For printed decals with photographic content, high-resolution raster files at 300 dpi at the intended print size are acceptable. We review files for production readiness and advise if adjustments are needed.

Cast Vinyl, Outdoor 5 to 7 Years

UV-stable cast vinyl for all outdoor commercial applications. Economy calendered vinyl lasts 1 to 3 years outdoors. Alberta UV intensity makes specification critical for long-term appearance.

Adhesive Options

Permanent adhesive for long-term fixed applications. Removable adhesive for surfaces where clean removal is needed. Static cling for repositionable window applications. Aggressive adhesive for industrial and wet environments.

Overlaminate

Clear gloss or matte overlaminate extends graphic life, adds scratch resistance, and protects against UV, moisture, and abrasion. Specified for outdoor applications and high-contact surfaces.

Any Quantity

Single units for specialty applications through to long production runs for fleet and product labelling. Per-unit cost efficiencies at volume. We advise on the most cost-effective approach for your quantity.

Production and Artwork

Precision Cut and Printed In-House. Any Shape, Any Size.

We produce all decals in-house using precision vinyl cutters for die-cut applications and large format print equipment for printed decals. Any shape can be cut to the exact outline of the artwork. Any size from a small label through to a large vehicle graphic panel. Production is managed at our Edmonton facility with no third-party labs involved.

We print to your CMYK or Pantone specifications and calibrate our production to target your brand colours as closely as possible. We advise on any colour rendering differences between screen display and printed vinyl before committing to production. Colour matching is particularly important for fleet and product labelling runs where consistency across batches matters.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about custom decals from Edmonton businesses.

In commercial use the terms are largely interchangeable. Decal typically refers to a vinyl graphic applied to a surface as part of a sign or branding program. Sticker is more commonly used for promotional items and consumer giveaway formats. The production process is the same; the distinction is mostly contextual.

Yes, with appropriate adhesive specification and proper removal technique. Decals produced with removable adhesive formulations release cleanly from most smooth surfaces. Permanent adhesive decals that have been in place for extended periods may require heat application during removal to soften the adhesive. We specify adhesive type based on your surface and intended application lifespan.

Textured surfaces, rough concrete, and porous materials are more challenging and may require specific adhesive formulations or surface preparation. We advise on suitability during the consultation.
